Experience Luxury and Nature at Xalet Tulum

If you’re dreaming of a relaxing getaway in Tulum, where modern comfort meets natural beauty, Xalet Tulum might just be the perfect place. This boutique hotel combines eco-conscious design, stylish accommodations, and a laid-back vibe, making it an ideal spot for travellers looking to unwind while still being close to Tulum’s best beaches, ruins, and cenotes.

Located just a few minutes drive or a 15/20 min walk from Tulum’s town center, Xalet Tulum offers a peaceful retreat away from the crowds. With a mix of cozy rooms and spacious suites, the hotel embraces boho-chic decor, earthy tones, and natural materials, blending seamlessly with the lush surroundings.

I spent 4 nights here to rest and recharge after some time travelling around. Xalet is located in a new built location on the edge of Tulum’s main road. I wanted an apartment where I could cook some of my own food, whilst going out to eat when I wanted to.

When I first entered this location (we arrived in the evening so it was dark) I noticed that they had a great 24 hour security out front. I booked through Air BnB and it was very straight forward to check in at reception. As we had a truck there was space to park underground (in your alloted space). This space is usually next to a specific staircase/elevator that takes you straight up to your apartment, which makes moving food and luggage in really easy!

The 1 bedroom I rented itself was spacious, modern and very quiet. The whole place was immaculately clean. It has a smart TV, where you connect to Netflix, Spotify etc.

The next morning I had a wander around the premises, where all of the apartment blocks connect into one main area at the front. There are plenty of sun loungers and spaces to chill in the water. There is a gym and lots of spaces to sit and relax. You can also climb to the top of the apartment blocks for stunning jungle views. The highlight of Xalet is the private open cenote. I spent some time sunning here where the natural cenote has fish swimming around – they even nibbled on my feet. A personal pedicure.

The location was very quiet, at points it felt like it was just me here but from my understanding this is still a relatively newly built area. The other highlight of this area is that the local supermarket is a 10 minute walk. Along the way there are plenty of restaurants and food trucks. It felt very safe walking here by myself in the daytime. There are a few restaurants opposite the accommodation, which felt very upmarket and a little boho chic.

Overall my stay in this area is the luxury that I needed, where I could spend a few days resting and enjoying the tranquility away from the hustle and bustle of life.

If you would like some time away to rest and recoup then i highly recommend Xalet
